Answering the Call for Help

Lori L. DeAngelis received a BBA from North Texas State
University in 1985 and a law degree from Baylor University School of Law in
1990. In 1991, she signed on as an Assistant Attorney General with Child
Support Enforcement before joining the Law Office of Phillip Gaylen in
1993. Ms. DeAngelis has been in private practice since 1996 where she
partners with her husband, attorney George Griffith.
A current member of the Tarrant County Bar Association,
her professional credits include past Director and past President of the
Tarrant County Family Law Bar; and past member of the Board of Directors of
the Tarrant County Bar Association.
Lori DeAngelis joined the Equal Justice Volunteer
Program of Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas in 1996, where she volunteered at
the Arlington legal clinic, served as a trainer/presenter at every EJVP
Family Law Seminar, and continues to accept pro bono family law cases
involving divorce, custody and domestic violence.
Ms. DeAngelis has taken types of the pro bono cases
rarely accepted by private attorneys, but her clients have been pleased.
One client wrote “I rate Ms. DeAngelis a 10. I was very satisfied with the
outcome of my case.” With a law practice, husband and two children, she
still finds time to answer a call for help. She remains willing to assist
those who are in trouble, but are financially unable to hire a private
attorney. She has never stopped “giving back.” There will always be a call
for help. Lori DeAngelis is not afraid to answer.
